Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before placing an order. By ordering from Parts Shack you agree to be bound by them. We'd particularly draw your attention to Section 20, which sets out our liability to you.

About Us

Our registered office and main trading address is:

Parts Shack 30 Hortonwood 30 Telford TF1 7YE

Your Status

By placing an order with us you confirm that:

  • You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts
  • You are at least 18 years old
  • All information you provide during the order process is accurate, complete and not misleading

1. How a Contract Is Formed

When you order through our website, a contract is not formed until we dispatch your goods or send you a dispatch confirmation, whichever comes first.

Each order you place is treated as a separate offer to purchase, subject to these terms. We reserve the right to decline any order.

You must ensure that your order details and any relevant specifications are complete and accurate before submitting. These terms apply to the exclusion of all others and supersede any prior communications or agreements between us.

No variation to these terms will be valid unless agreed in writing by both parties.

2. Products

Product images, descriptions, catalogues and specifications are provided for general guidance only. We make every effort to ensure accuracy but cannot guarantee that colours and images displayed on your device will be perfectly accurate.

We reserve the right to supply goods of a modified design where the modification does not make the goods unsuitable for their intended purpose. Technical specifications are approximations unless stated otherwise.

All goods are subject to availability. If we are unable to supply the exact goods ordered, we may offer a substitute of equivalent quality. If you do not wish to accept the substitute, we will arrange collection at no cost to you.

You must not remove, alter or tamper with any trademarks, markings or identification numbers on any goods supplied by us.

We retain all copyright in any documentation supplied with our goods. Such documentation must only be used for its intended purpose and returned on request.

3. Consumer Rights and Cancellation

This section applies to consumers purchasing via our website only.

You have the right to cancel your order within 30 days of receiving your goods. To cancel, you must notify us in writing and return the goods in the same condition as received, in their original packaging, with proof of purchase, at your own cost and risk. Goods must be unused and, where applicable, still in sealed packaging.

We will process your refund within 30 days of receiving your cancellation notice.

The right to cancel does not apply to personalised or made-to-order goods, or to goods supplied as part of a specific promotion (see Section 6).

If you have purchased parts for a foreign-registered vehicle, Parts Shack accepts no liability for incorrectly ordered goods once the cancellation period has lapsed. If you are unsure whether a part is compatible with your vehicle, please contact us at sales@spareshut.com before purchasing.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.

4. Promotional Codes

From time to time we may issue promotional codes offering discounts, free items or other incentives.

By using a promotional code you agree to the following:

  • Codes may only be redeemed on our website
  • One code per transaction or household
  • Codes cannot be used alongside any other offer or promotion
  • Codes are non-transferable and have no cash value
  • Codes cannot be used to purchase gift cards or vouchers
  • Employees of Parts Shack are not eligible to use promotional codes
  • We accept no responsibility for codes that are lost, delayed or illegible
  • We reserve the right to withdraw, amend or refuse any promotional code at any time

Where a code was issued by email, the email address used at checkout must match the address to which the code was sent.

Unless stated otherwise, promotional codes are valid for no longer than 3 days from issue.

If you return an order where a free item was included, the free item must also be returned unused and in its original packaging. Failure to do so may result in the value of the free item being deducted from your refund.

5. Pricing

Prices may be updated at any time to reflect changes in costs, duties or exchange rates.

The price you pay is the price displayed at the time your order is received, subject to the following:

  • If a pricing error is identified, we will contact you and offer the goods at the correct price. We are under no obligation to honour an incorrectly listed price.
  • If we cannot reach you following a pricing error, the order will be cancelled and any payment refunded in full.

All prices are shown inclusive and exclusive of VAT. VAT is charged at the prevailing rate. Delivery charges are shown at checkout.

6. Payment

Payment is required in full at the time of placing your order. We accept credit and debit card payments. All transactions are processed securely.

7. Delivery

We will use all reasonable efforts to deliver your goods promptly. Delivery dates provided are estimates only and time of delivery is not of the essence.

You have the right to cancel your order without liability if delivery is more than 30 days late.

Any claim that goods arrived damaged must be made within 2 days of delivery.

Any claim that goods were not delivered at all — where our records or our carrier's records indicate delivery was made — must be raised within 14 days of the expected delivery date. We will investigate with our carrier and may request identification documents before reaching a decision.

If you fail to take delivery of your order, we reserve the right to cancel the delivery and charge you for any reasonable losses incurred.

Parts Shack is not liable for damage to property caused by third-party couriers during delivery. We will liaise with the relevant courier on your behalf to help resolve such matters.

8. Unloading

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, it is your responsibility to provide appropriate means for unloading goods upon delivery. We will inform you in advance if any special equipment is required.

9. Storage

If you fail to take delivery when goods are ready, we may arrange storage at your cost. Ownership of goods does not pass to you until payment is received in full.

Your right to possession of goods will end immediately if you enter insolvency proceedings, fail to meet your obligations under this contract, or cease trading.

10. Warranty

If goods develop a fault during the warranty period through no fault of your own, notify us in writing with a description of the fault and return the goods to us. Goods will be sent to the manufacturer for assessment.

Based on the manufacturer's findings, we will repair or replace the goods at our discretion or advise that no further action is warranted. The manufacturer's decision is final.

The warranty does not cover faults arising from:

  • Fair wear and tear
  • Wilful damage or negligence
  • Incorrect fitting by you or a third party
  • Failure to follow manufacturer or supplier instructions
  • Modification or repair without our consent
  • Abnormal operating conditions

We do not cover labour, fitting or removal costs under any circumstances.

11. Returns and Refunds

Returns are accepted in accordance with our Returns Policy.

Refunds will be processed within 30 days of us receiving the returned goods. Goods must be returned unused, in their original packaging, with proof of purchase.

Special orders — goods ordered or manufactured specifically at your request — are non-refundable except at our sole discretion or where cancelled within the statutory cooling-off period. A restocking fee of 15% may apply to any approved special order refund.

Refunds will normally be issued via the same payment method used for the original purchase.

12. Services

Where we provide services, we will carry them out with reasonable skill and care. If we fail to do so, your remedy will be for those services to be re-performed.

Any timescales given for services are estimates only.

We recommend that all parts are installed by a qualified automotive mechanic or engineer in compliance with applicable industry standards.

Support and maintenance services do not apply where:

  • You have failed to follow our instructions or the manufacturer's instructions
  • Issues arise from improper use or user error
  • Goods have been modified or repaired without our written consent

13. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law, including under the Consumer Protection Act 1987

Subject to the above, Parts Shack will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, special or punitive losses, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of business, loss of income, loss of data or loss of goodwill.

Our total liability to you under these terms will not exceed 125% of the price paid for the goods or services in question.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate the supply of goods or services if you fail to make payment when due or breach any term of this contract.

On termination, all outstanding payments become immediately due. Termination does not affect any rights or liabilities that arose prior to that point.

Orders may only be cancelled at our discretion. We may charge for work carried out or costs incurred prior to any accepted cancellation.

15. Anti-Bribery

You agree to comply with all applicable anti-bribery and anti-corruption legislation, including the Bribery Act 2010. You must not offer, request or accept any financial advantage in connection with this contract.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by English law. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

17. General

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full effect.

Failure by us to enforce any provision of these terms at any time does not constitute a waiver of our rights.

No third party has any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of this contract.
